20 May Cranio Sacral Therapy By Donation Mini Sessions
There aren’t many words to truly describe the experience of receiving Cranial Sacral Therapy. Unlike deep tissue massage, the approach is subtle, yet energetically deep. By intuitively channeling energy through their hands, therapists tap into the bones of the cranium, sacrum and spinal cord. Cerebral spinal fluid gets flowing more freely and compression from tension and injuries begins to release. As a result, our bones begin shifting into their natural position. CST is a wonderful complement to the bodies ability to heal naturally
During a session, the client is taken into deep relaxation and may enter a “hypnogognic” state. This is the stony feeling we get when entering a lucid dream. In this place of deep relaxation, tension and past trauma in the brain and body will start to unwind. Clients are comfortably clothed and treatments are done on a massage table. The technique is soothing and non-invasive.
Cranial Sacral Therapy helps to relieve:
- Migraines and Headaches
- Chronic neck and back pain
- TMJ related to teeth grinding and clenching
- Stress and anxiety
- Brain and spinal cord injuries
- Post-traumatic stress (PTSD)

About Denise Hopkins, CST
A simple southern girl from the low lands of Louisiana packed up her things 9 days after college graduation and headed for NYC. It was there that Denise spent 13 years working in the fashion industry and it was there that she began her healing journey. It started with one yoga class shortly after 911. Yoga quickly become her saving grace to the competitive nature of the fashion industry. Within a few years, she quit her job and signed up for the month-long Forrest Yoga Teacher Training. She has been teaching since 2005 and continues to assist Ana Forrest (creator of FY) nationally and has been chosen to become a Forrest Yoga Guardian.
It was through Forrest Yoga that Denise fell in love with hands-on healing and was introduced to CranioSacral Therapy. Intuitive touch is something that came naturally to her. She feels that we live in a touch starved society and when touch comes from the heart with right intention it can help to facilitate the bodies natural ability to heal. She practices the “Visionary” approach to CST under the Milne Institute and continues to study there.
