What is an Ayurveda?

Ayurveda: The Knowledge of Life
Ayurveda, meaning "the knowledge of life," is a holistic healing system over 5,000 years old, originating in India. Known as the sister science to Yoga, Ayurveda emphasizes maintaining balance to prevent disease rather than merely treating it. Wellness in Ayurveda is achieved by harmonizing the mind, body, spirit, and environment. When these elements fall out of balance, illness occurs. By focusing on natural remedies, lifestyle practices, and personalized care, Ayurveda offers a comprehensive approach to long-term health and well-being.
