Ben Fleisher, LAc, CZB

Owner, Acupuncturist, Zero Balancing

Ben began his career in 2002 after graduation from the Boulder College of Massage Therapy. He was two years into his practice, when, out of the blue, his only brother, Amos, passed away.

Ben found himself grief-stricken and slogging through his work to help others. He discovered that he wanted desperately to make a bigger impact with his clients. He turned to Acupuncture and the unique form of Acupressure called Zero Balancing. He returned to New York City and transitioned his practice to these two methods of healing.

With these new tools, Ben felt empowered by the results he saw in his patients, and yet it still wasn’t enough. He wanted to see wellness as a part of everyone’s lives. He wanted to see the wellness sector empowered with both the community and business skills that he saw as lacking in the Acupuncture and Massage Therapy trainings that he had received.

Ben co-founded Body Local, a membership organization designed to train and network wellness professionals in NYC. Over 100 events and thousands of introductions later, Body Local has helped to create a strong web of therapists, trainers, and other wellness professionals that work together to improve wellness services of the big apple.

Opening Woodstock Healing Arts is how Ben brings the lessons from his 15+ years of integrative practice, the Body Local organization, chinese medicine, and Zero Balancing, home, to serve the community closest to his heart.

I've been feeling amazing since this first session. I have officially added Zero Balancing to the long list of things that work even though I don't understand how they work... I felt pleasantly sluggish and empty (in a good way) in the hours that followed our session. My neck has been feeling much better and my mind feels clearer. This has definitely exceeded my expectations! I very much look forward to sessions 2 and 3. - A.V.O.
I had heard great things about acupuncture, but needles have always been something that make me nervous. I’m so glad I gave it a try. Ben’s gentleness, kindness, and calm nature helped ease all of my fears. - P.S.P., Esthetician
The treatment was exceptional and the care and compassion that I experienced from Ben is still resonating. -Marilyn St John
Blissful floating feeling afterward. Migraine gone by 530 - no medication required. - H.U., Registered Nurse
The immediate calm the acupuncture brought to me. I really felt I was being taken care of. - K.K., Stay At Home Mom
The experience was wonderful! I felt very comfortable and Ben made me feel like he truly cares. -D.B.
Ben has a charming, open mind and listens to verbal and body cues to help in Zero Balancing treatments. Relaxing atmosphere. The utmost relaxing experience!! -J.M.D
My husband and I made a visit yesterday to WHA for Community Acupuncture. It was our very first experience with this method. Ben took excellent care calming our jitters and making sure we felt at ease. His skill was apparent, and we left an hour later very much impressed. We will return and recommend it highly. -Jeanne Schlosser
My experience was very positive. I went seeking acupuncture for weight loss. At the time of my appointment I received an upsetting phone call which triggered, what I would describe as, a panic attack; something I am not prone to. I asked Ben if he could use the needles to calm me as I know that can help. Instead he felt that zero balancing might help more. It was my first experience with this kind of body work. It was amazing. I came away with completely different energy and a clearer perspective on my problems. And no panic! Yay! Thank you, Ben!
Before beginning my first session with Ben, he sat down and reviewed my health history, his philosophy, and how specifically he would be able to help me. Not only is Ben a super listener, but he has a gentle way of addressing each question and concern. Since this was my first experience with acupuncture, I had many questions, and Ben never made me feel as though he was rushing through the session. Two days later, I feel fantastic: I hope to see Ben again soon! -Nancy Millspaugh Cohn
Ben Is bright and gifted. When he treated me, I was amazed how great I felt and how gentle he was. Don't miss an opportunity to be treated by Ben. -Konnie Duff
